Paega*
Paega* (pronounced Pay-Gah) is a Syracuse based band that weaves elements of multiple genres while maintaining at its heart, an original (progressive-ish) rock sound. The band conjures up visions of descriptive, dark, yet beautiful songs. The idea for this band formed after working on "Beauty From Tragedy", a solo album PJ Will asked his band mate and friend Scott Catucci to help him record in 2021. Happy with the result and eager to continue, PJ asked a few of the best people he knew with musical prowess to join in helping to breath life into his musical vision, thus.. Paega* was reincarnated as a full 5 piece band. Delivering on that promise, "The Lessons of Abstract Dreaming" (2024) shows a developed musical identity and growth.
With PJ Will on guitar and lead vocals along with band mates Scott Catucci on keys / synth, John Joe Wisniewski on bass, Ryan Carroll on guitar and Jake Holcomb on Drums, they are able to deliver a sound that could have rolled out at the tail end of the 70's, with a cinematic ideology that spans genres and is full of imagery and imagination. PJ's musical style calls listeners to interpret the music but stays true to the song from his heart.
